The song was written, Suzy admits, on a day when she couldn't face her day job at the time, so she stayed home to write a song instead.

Hunter and Suzy have played as the resident band at many inner city clubs and pubs including The Kurrajong Hotel in Erskinville (now the Swanson) Tattersalls Hotel in Rozelle (now Ruby's) The Orange Grove Hotel at Lilyfield, the Balmain Bowling Club, the Willoughby Club, the Cooks River Motorboat Club at Tempe, the Erskinville Bowling Club and the Marrickville Bowling Club.

The band has had a strong inner Sydney following over many years. The normal five piece line up includes Hunter (guitar and vocals), Suzy (bass and vocals), plus Jake Lardot on lead guitar and Tomi Grasso on pedal steel.

Hunter and Suzy have appeared a couple of times at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, but are very much a 'honky-tonk' band attuned to inner city audiences.
