Breakfast at Bondi Beach - 23rd October 2011

The breakfast began at 6am, and several thousand brave souls rose to the challenge. I arrived about 7am but had to be home by 9am. I had not been to the beach before 9am since the dawn of of the new millennium a decade ago.

Most people bought their own food and drink (just like a picnic, only much earlier) but there were plenty of food stalls. Recommended - good simple fun.

Also the Bondi Nippers from both surf clubs hold their events early on Sunday morning. Small children have fun playing team sports and navigating simple obstacle courses, and they even learn to run backwards (middle picture).
