Latest Stats as at 5/6/2014 ============================ These figures cover May 2014. With the arrest of Roger Rogerson on Tuesday May 25th, the month provided a good illustration of how quickly the internet reacts to a news story. Tucked away on the Bondi Beach Home Page is an "x marks the spot" picture taken in Dangar Lane, Chippendale where Roger Rogerson shot Warren Lanfranchi. Normally this picture gets about 2 hits per day, but it got 239 hits, including a surge of 142 hits from a website called www.mydeathspace.com which specialises in details about the deaths of celebrities and murder victims, plus speculation about unsolved kidnappings. By the end of the month, hits had declined to about 40 per day, and is now down to about 4 per day. For some mundane figures, the visits summarised below are made by humans, not robots, crawlers or criminals pretending to be normal surfers. Generally speaking, total visits are falling, but this is mainly a seasonal trend. The first percentage covers the 16th to the 31st May, 2014, with earlier figures for shown in brackets.
