Latest Stats as at 19/4/2013 ============================= These figures cover the 15 day period 1/4/2013 to 15/4/2013. This 15 day period includes 4 weekend days and 11 weekdays. Windows-8 has now reached 3.2% which is not very exciting after 20 weeks. Watch closely to see what Microsoft does. The passing of Maggie Thatcher created a huge surge of roughly 1500 hits to a picture of a horse smoking. However these hits have been excluded from the calculations. Operating System Market Share ============================== For the period 1st to 15th of April, these percentage figures are based on visits, with earlier figures in brackets:- Windows-7 30.7 (32.3, 34.9, 35.2, 35.1, 34.1, 32.0) XP 11.3 (10.5, 13.6, 17.7, 18.5, 16.9, 14.2, 14.2) Vista 3.7 (3.6, 4.3, 4.1, 4.5, 4.4, 4.7, 4.5, 5.3) Windows-8 3.2 (2.9, 2.5, 2.4, 2.2, 1.9, 1.7, 1.3) Pre-XP Windows 0.6 (0.8, 0.7, 0.8, 0.8, 1.1, 1.2) Mac 12.3 (11.6, 11.9, 12.3, 12.3, 13.2, 11.8, 11.9) iPhone/iPad/iPod 25.8 (28.1, 23.5, 20.0, 19.0, 19.8) Android 9.4 (7.4, 6.1, 4.6, 5.5, 5.5, 5.8, 6.6, 4.8) WinPhone 0.2 (0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 0.4, 0.2, 0.3. 0.3, 0.2) Other Mobiles 2.0 (1.6, 1.7, 2.0, 2.1, 2.3, 2.3) Linux 0.7 (0.9, 0.8, 0.8, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 0.9) Windows-8 has gone from 0.1% to 3.2% in 22 weeks, very slow. The Android result has jumped from 6.1% to 9.4% in a month, although some of this is due to odd traffic surges. The total sample size above was 22119.
